EVERY VOICE CONCERT CHOIR

Every Voice Choirs helps young people discover their voices and share them with pride.
Led by Artistic Director Dr. Nicole Becker and based at Columbia University Teachers College, EVC is unique among independent children's choirs for making the highest level of choral training accessible to ALL children. Everyone ages 7-16 is welcome in EVC's core choirs without audition. All of EVC's singers perform at premiere NYC venues including Merkin Hall, Miller Theater, and more.
Recognizing how deeply personal the voice is, EVC builds on students' experience and interests, helping singers set goals for their vocal development and working with them toward those goals. Singers are nurtured as musical thinkers and leaders who improvise freely, create their own songs, and share their voices and their ideas throughout the process of learning and performing.
For EVC singers who seek additional, rigorous choral training, EVC's Concert Choir provides the opportunity to perform challenging works, including world premieres, in collaboration with international artists. The Concert Choir's fourth Carnegie Hall performance will take place in May 2020.
